The hotel's main building is Palazzo Canossi, which has noble origins, dating back to the XVI century. 
To its left stands the historic palazzo where the engraver Samuele Jesi was born in 1788.
It holds the hotel's most recent wing, which has been expanded to improve its services and increase its offerings of new rooms, Junior Suites for families, Business Suites, and meeting rooms.
To the right of the main section is the third building with further rooms.
Together, the three palazzos form the hotel, which takes its name from the centuries-old medallions by Bonifazio Asioli and Antonio Allegri, known as “Il Correggio”, embellishing the façade of the entrance.
At the hotel, unique features become a part of the everyday: the remarkable frescoed stairway in Palazzo Canossi; the Sala Jesi room with its original inlaid wooden flooring, crafted by hand using soft wood from fruit trees; the hall, which was once the entrance for the carriages; and the breakfast room and restaurant, which were the courtyard and stables, with an original sampietrini floor polished to an almost glass-like sheen.
